Project will increase Prairie Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant capacity to support long-term growth and reliable wastewater service

DALLAS (June 30, 2026) — Crescent Constructors, an affiliate of Zachry Construction Corporation, has been awarded the Prairie Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Aeration Basin Expansion project for the city of Lewisville, a major investment in wastewater infrastructure designed to support the community’s continued growth and long-term service needs.

The project will increase the plant’s operating capacity from 12 million gallons per day to 16 million gallons per day through aeration basin expansion, rehabilitation and system upgrades. The improvements are the first phase of a broader plan to help the facility meet future treatment demands and move toward a long-term capacity goal of 20 million gallons per day.

“Reliable wastewater infrastructure is essential to how growing communities plan for the future,” said Ryan Glanz, vice president of Crescent Constructors. “We appreciate the opportunity to support the city of Lewisville as it invests in dependable service for residents, businesses and future development.”

The project scope includes the removal of an older portion of the wastewater treatment plant to make room for expansion of the existing aeration basin and construction of a new blower building. The work also includes rehabilitation of the existing headworks, aeration basins and return activated sludge/waste activated sludge (RAW/WAS) building, along with related piping, electrical, controls and site improvements.

The work will take place within an active wastewater treatment plant. Because the facility will remain operational during construction, Crescent’s team will coordinate phased construction activities, electrical and controls integration, supplier representatives and planned shutdowns to help minimize disruption to plant operations. Final completion is scheduled for November 28, 2028.

Multi-year CRWS project supports safe, reliable treatment plant operations through containment, utility, and systems improvements

DALLAS, (May 5, 2026) — Zachry Construction Corporation is advancing work on the Central Regional Wastewater System Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide Containment Building project for the Trinity River Authority of Texas in Dallas. The multi-year effort includes demolition of existing equipment and structures, modifications to existing facilities, and construction of new structures and associated equipment at the CRWS treatment plant.

As prime contractor, Zachry Construction is delivering a scope that also includes sitework, grading, paving, stormwater drainage, roadways, chemical solution piping, plant water piping, drain and stormwater piping, natural gas piping, and electrical and instrumentation systems. The project’s expected completion date is Q4 2029.

Zachry Construction’s work is designed to modernize critical wastewater infrastructure and support safe, reliable plant operations through upgraded containment, utility and systems improvements at the facility. The work includes a new chlorine and sulfur dioxide containment building, a supplemental chlorine storage building, pump stations and related improvements across the site.

Zachry Construction Corporation/Traylor Bros., Inc. (JV) selected to deliver new

US-70 crossing over Lake Texoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 28, 2026) — Zachry Construction Corporation is entering the Oklahoma market and was selected by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to deliver the US-70 Roosevelt Bridge replacement project under a modified progressive design-build contract. This project will be delivered by Zachry Construction Corporation/Traylor Bros., Inc. (JV).

The project marks Zachry’s first project with the Oklahoma DOT and an important milestone in the company’s continued regional growth. Together, Zachry Construction and Traylor Bros., Inc. will deliver a new bridge that strengthens a vital transportation connection in southeastern Oklahoma while supporting long-term mobility, safety and economic activity across the Lake Texoma corridor.

Opened in 1945, the Roosevelt Bridge has served as an important link between Bryan and Marshall counties for more than 80 years. The replacement project represents a significant investment in modernizing this corridor for residents, businesses, and visitors who rely on the crossing for daily travel, commercial movement and access to the Lake Texoma area.

The project scope includes construction of a new four-lane bridge on a new alignment with shoulders, a median barrier, and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. The work also includes demolition and removal of the existing bridge. Traffic will be maintained on the existing bridge during construction to minimize impacts to the traveling public.
