The project consists of the construction of a new Sewer Lift Station including abandonment and removal of the existing Sewer Lift Station located in Schertz, TX. The work includes the installation of 3,700 LF of 48” FRP pipe and manholes, and the decommissioning of the existing 27” and 15” Sewer lines. The work involves boring of 66” steel sasing under the UPR Railroad Track and FM78, trenching to an average depth of 24’, sewer bypassing 24 Hrs. a day while installing the new FRP Pipe. Additionally, the project will include site grading, concrete flatwork, electrical, site restoration, and site fencing.

Underground residential electric distribution and electrical terminations in existing subdivisions and apartments within CPS Energy’s service area. Rehabilitating direct buried cable to cable in conduit and changing out transformers for a more reliable service..

The project consists of the reconstruction of the Interstate 410 northbound and southbound mainlanes and frontage roads on either side of FM 78 and Binz Englemen.  The project also includes the  replacement of the southbound and northbound mainlane bridges and addition of a southbound frontage road bridge over FM 78/Binz Englemen and the Union Pacific Railroad. 

The project consists of the replacement of two aging spillway crest gates, and retrofitting 25 additional bays on the dam with the installation of a new dewatering system using new stop logs.  A new gantry crane will also be added that will help in moving the stop logs to any section of the dam.

Zachry Construction was awarded the San Marcos Regional Airport Taxiway Improvement Project which includes a rehabilitation of Taxiways C, A, E & F requiring enhancements to the concrete and asphalt pavement structures, pavement markings, and electrical lighting including 63 new taxiway edge lights and 7 taxiway guidance signs.

Zachry Federal Construction Corporation was award a design-build project at Fort Hood with JSR for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. The Fort Hood Motor Pool Repair Project consisted of removing two, five-acre asphalt Motorpool parking lots and replacing with flexible base and 9” concrete pavement. Work required demolition of existing asphalt and base, excavation and grading, placement of new flexible base and paving 9” jointed concrete.

Zachry Federal Construction Corporation was awarded a design-build project at Fort Hood with JSR Contractors for the United States Army Corps of Engineers to replace Georgetown Road Bridge at Cowhouse Creek. Design and construction of a new bridge structure includes approaching roadways, embankments, channel modification, establishment and maintenance of the storm water prevention pollution plan, signage, striping, traffic control and the removal of the existing low water crossing roadway and elliptical corrugated metal pipes. The project also includes demolition of an existing 6 span bridge consisting of concrete and steel beam spans and one truss span.

The project consisted of constructing a new Border Patrol Station Checkpoint in Falfurrias, TX with continued operation of the existing one.  Scope of the project included eight primary inspection lanes with covered canopy, 16 secondary-inspection lanes with covered canopy, an Administration and Processing/Detention building, a secondary evidence storage building with loading dock, a vehicle lift area, a short-stay kennel building, 150-foot tall antenna tower, three-vehicle impound lot, GOVT parking spaces, a covered fueling system, along with new electric, water and fire protection utility services for the entire facility.

Completion of the new Checkpoint, Phase 1, was completed in April 2019.  Phase 2, demolition of the original Checkpoint, was completed September 2019.

Zachry Underground & Utility Services (ZUUS) installed new electric, gas and telecom infrastructure for the new Texas A&M San Antonio campus. The project had a very limited schedule of completion so ZUUS crews worked simultaneously with the General Contractor crews to complete the project safely and ahead of schedule.
