Major bridges require a heightened level of construction planning and field execution. Zachry builds complex bridges over waterways and signature structures where deep foundations, major structural components, marine or waterway conditions and demanding construction sequences must come together precisely. Zachry constructs replacement bridges, pedestrian bridges, overpasses, underpasses, retaining walls and other major transportation structures. System interchanges, urban reconstruction and major corridor programs can involve multiple structures, roadway configurations, utility conflicts and continuous traffic shifts within the same footprint. Zachry brings those moving pieces together through detailed traffic phasing, multidisciplinary coordination and field-driven construction planning, creating workable sequences that keep the project advancing while the transportation system remains in service.
Airports present a unique construction environment: Every phase must account for security, aircraft operations, passenger movement and strict operational requirements. Zachry delivers both airside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons and airfield drainage, and landside improvements such as terminal roadways, parking, utilities and site development. Across both airside and landside projects, Zachry performs the foundational civil work these facilities depend on, including earthwork, subgrade preparation and placement, lime- and cement-stabilized subgrade, underground utilities and drainage. Our experience can support private airfields and FBO facilities as well as regional, commercial, international and federal or military aviation projects, adapting construction plans to the operating environment without losing sight of critical milestones.
Zachry performs below-ballast construction, earthwork and drainage, bridges and structures, grade separations and civil improvements for port and rail yards.
